About the role
We’re hiring a (remote) Senior Manager, People Operations to lead and build the operational backbone of the People function at Cohere during a period of intense global scale.
Responsibilities
- Own People systems and workflows
- HRS and operational tooling
- Shared services/help desk infrastructure
- Onboarding and employee lifecycle operations
- Operational analytics and reporting
- Operational process design and scalability
- Build and lead the People Operations team
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in core People Operations roles
- Directly managed and built People Operations teams/functions
- Experience operating in hypergrowth environments during rapid scale
- Supports globally distributed organizations across multiple countries and regions
- Loves systems thinking, operational design, and scalable infrastructure
- Highly automation and AI-minded
- Enjoys building elegant solutions to messy operational problems
- Can scale through systems and leverage, not just headcount
Qualifications
- Exceptional people skills
- Strong leadership and management abilities
- Proven track record of driving organizational change and innovation
- Experience in designing and implementing HR processes and systems
- Ability to manage complex projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of labor laws and regulations relevant to the tech industry
