About the role

Alumis Inc. is a precision medicines company with the mission to transform the lives of patients with autoimmune diseases. This position will report to the Senior Director, People & Culture, to establish and maintain a strong HR operational framework.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the offer and onboarding process, including New Hire Orientation.
  • Oversee the exit and offboarding process.
  • Maintain Alumis’ HRIS daily, support system enhancements, and ensure efficient HR operations.
  • Manage employee reward and recognition programs and processes.
  • Administer mandatory employee training by tracking completion, maintaining records, issuing reminders, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Manage and maintain employee swag inventory, fulfillment processes, and vendor coordination.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Process verifications of employment.
  • Maintain the People & Culture SharePoint site.
  • Partner strongly with Total Rewards, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition teams.
  • Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the People & Culture team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in HR, HR operations, or customer services.
  • Strong business and HR acumen.
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to consistently meet or exceed goals and KPIs with an excellence mindset.
  • Knowledge of large-scale data management, payroll, time, and HRIS systems solutions, and strong skills in technologies.
  • Understanding of interactions between HR, accounting, and finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across teams and collaborate well with cross-functional partners.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, decision-making skills, and process orientation.
  • Experience in continuous improvement projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Current or previous HRIS experience (BambooHR).
  • HR Policy experience.
  • Strong process and project management skills.
  • Ability to work within ambiguity.
  • Strong communication skills.

Schedule

This position is located in South San Francisco, CA, and employees are expected to be onsite Tuesday–Thursday.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $156,900 USD to $185,000 USD annually. Actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. Alumis compensation packages include generous stock option grants for all employees as well as an annual bonus program.
