Position Summary

The Senior Manager, People Business Partner will serve as a strategic advisor to business leadership and partner across the team to deliver our people strategy. They will embody our culture and core values at Make-A-Wish and will support leaders and employees in building high performing teams to foster a culture that supports client delivery excellence, employee success and the advancement of our mission.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
  • Understanding of AI and ability to leverage technology tools

Responsibilities and Impact

  • Champion a high performing, inclusive culture, aligned with organizational values and strategy
  • Ensure alignment between performance, recognition and career development
  • Support organizational changes and business transformation initiatives
  • Partner with business leaders on workforce strategies, leveraging key people metrics to inform and drive proactive, strategic workforce planning aligned to business needs
  • Advise leaders on organizational design to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and scalable growth
  • Collaborate with talent acquisition to support hiring strategies that align with business needs
  • Partner with total rewards to support compensation planning, career development and recognition
  • Address employee relations issues with a balanced, business focused and employee centered approach
  • Coach people leaders on performance management, employee development, and talent management
  • Provide guidance and support on employee matters, leave of absence management, policy interpretation and workplace concerns
  • Deliver Human Resources projects, programs, and strategies in alignment with team and organizational goals
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices, federal, state, and local employment laws/regulations; integrate into employee policies and practices
  • Champion key business initiatives and workgroups to drive people strategy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 7+ years of human resource experience with 5+ years of HR business partner experience required
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
