About the role

The Senior Manager Parcel Insights & Pricing is responsible for the daily support of business development, Ryder clients, finance team, and parcel operations with the analysis and review of pricing for new business and re-pricing of existing business. The role is client- and prospect-facing for support and solutioning. The Senior Manager develops and maintains analytical, pricing, and P&L forecasting models and is responsible for training the analysts reporting to this position.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the performance of all pricing for new and existing customers.
  • Provide analytical support to the Director of Strategic Insights, Business Development team, and Parcel Operations to support decision-making.
  • Assist in planning staffing requirements, hiring (internal & external), work plan development, employee training and development, employee review and performance appraisals, and provide overview and direction on projects.
  • Oversee the development and continual enhancement of Pricing and Analytics models.
  • Participate in strategy discussions to determine the roadmap of analytics and pricing.
  • Support the Group Director of Parcel by assuming client- and prospect-facing initiatives to respond to client needs and assist business development in their selling process.
  • Support the Group Director of Parcel and Finance in budgets and continual forecasts of client and prospect revenues and margins.
  • Lead the development and continual support of client-facing automated reporting dashboards and internal reporting dashboards.
  • Assist the Parcel Billing Manager as required to ensure the GRI (General Rate Increase) process is fully supported, including analyses and any back-end tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (Required).
  • Master's Degree in MBA, Business, Finance, or related field (Preferred).
  • 4+ years of pricing experience (Required).
  • Knowledge of Excel and DOMO (Required).
  • Advanced Python skills (Preferred).
  • Technical proficiency in strategic analyses (Required).
  • Proficiency with computer applications and sophisticated PC spreadsheets (Required).
  • Knowledge of logistics (Preferred).

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Pay

Salaried position with a pay range of $130,000 – $150,000 annually.
