Anchored in our midtown Manhattan office (3 days per week on-site), this role reports to the Director, Organization Development.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, Organizational Design (OD) plays a critical role in shaping Dow Jones’ effectiveness strategy through advanced business transformation consulting, organizational design, and strategic change management. As a People Team subject-matter expert, you will serve as a trusted advisor to People Business Partners and senior leaders on initiatives that drive organizational health, culture integration, capability building, and the evolution of our Change Management Center of Excellence (COE). The ideal candidate combines strategic business transformation consulting skills with hands-on experience in complex organizational design, digital enablement, team effectiveness, and strategic workforce planning.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the broader Talent Management & Development team to design, develop, and implement an integrated Talent strategy aligned with Dow Jones’ corporate goals.
  • Lead complex organizational design, business transformation consulting, and operating-model projects to align structure, capabilities, and ways of working with business strategy.
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to accelerate organizational diagnostics and enhance effectiveness solutions.
  • Apply scenario modeling to evaluate design options, forecast workforce needs, and mitigate transformation risks.
  • Partner with People Team partners, executives, and functional leaders to assess organizational health and design future-ready teams.
  • Design and facilitate interventions that enhance team effectiveness, collaboration, and decision-making at leadership and enterprise levels.
  • Establish and support the Change Management Center of Excellence (COE) to standardize methodologies, AI-driven tools, and metrics for enterprise change initiatives.
  • Monitor external trends in business transformation, generative AI in HR/OD, dynamic organizational design, and change leadership to continuously improve OD practices.
  • Develop frameworks and measures for organizational health.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Organizational Development, with demonstrated expertise in organizational design, change management, and leadership consulting.
  • Strong understanding of OD methodologies, strategic workforce planning, and change management best practices, with the ability to translate them into practical application.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI applications and advanced technologies to streamline workflow, analyze organizational data, and improve effectiveness delivery.
  • Deep commercial and operational acumen, with a proven track record of translating business performance metrics into target operating models.
  • Proven track record designing and delivering large-scale, cross-departmental programs, strategic change initiatives, and culture transformations.
  • Experience collecting, assimilating, and analyzing data to drive actionable insights.
  • Experience managing projects/programs in an internal or external consulting role (preferred).
  • Strong communication, presentation/facilitation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
  • Strong consultative, facilitation, and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience in M&A organizational design and integration (preferred but not required).

Pay

$140,000 – $160,000. This range reflects our good-faith estimate and may vary based on a candidate’s experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Bonus-eligible roles include targets determined by market benchmarks and individual contributions.
