About the role
The Senior Manager of Software and Service Solutions will guide the organization on DMP and SecureCom service capabilities, user experience, and business profitability to deliver software functionality on Dealer Admin, Virtual Keypad browser and app platforms, and other web services as required. They will lead a team of Product Specialists and UI/UX Designers, balancing individual responsibilities with team coaching to drive high performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of direct and non-direct reports through product development activities from inception to production, fostering trust, collaboration, and barrier-breaking.
- Manage internal and external customer expectations and communications to reduce company risk through effective engagement.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with engineering teams, upper management, and external customers to provide direction, planning, clarification, and issue resolution.
- Submit and present weekly product updates and detailed specifications to senior management.
- Develop a deep understanding of DMP products through collaboration with product managers, dealer visits, and market research to identify gaps, generate growth ideas, and improve customer experience.
- Conduct and guide market research involving customers, competitors, employees, sales, and marketing teams.
- Create buy-in for the product vision internally and with external partners.
- Prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver quality products, services, training, and support with quick time-to-market.
- Drive product launches, set and publish launch dates, and evaluate promotional plans for alignment with product strategy.
- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.
- In coordination with HR, manage employee hires, promotions, discharges, transfers, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and time-off requests.
- Adhere to DMP Data Classification Standard and company policies while improving processes for efficiency.
- Perform related duties, fill in for others, or train fellow workers as needed.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Product Management experience, leading technology product lifecycle (preferably for hardware products).
- Previous experience managing mobile application operation, with in-depth understanding of product specifications, competitors, and the security market landscape.
- Track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentations) for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience communicating requirements to engineering teams and business leaders, including managing modifications during development.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a business setting.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to create long-term strategic plans while addressing day-to-day critical issues.
- Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to visit existing and prospective customers.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
