About the role
We are seeking a Senior Manager of Finance and Outsourced Accounting with deep experience supporting not-for-profit organizations. This role will manage and lead client engagements, serve as a trusted advisor, and drive operational efficiency within our Advisory team.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead client engagements, including monthly close and consulting projects, from planning through execution and delivery
- Serve as a key client contact, building strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables within budget
- Prepare and present financial results and analysis to client management, finance committees, and audit committees, with support from Directors as appropriate
- Oversee client invoicing processes, including review and coordination of collection follow-ups
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members, fostering professional growth, engagement, and collaboration
- Assist with staffing, resource planning, and utilization management across engagements
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology and innovative solutions to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency
- Ensure engagements comply with industry standards, firm methodologies, and best practices while monitoring key financial and performance metrics
- Support practice leadership with strategic initiatives by identifying client expansion opportunities and contributing to growth efforts
Requirements
- CPA designation with a bachelor’s degree in accounting; master’s degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in accounting and finance, including significant not-for-profit experience and exposure to outsourcing or consulting environments
- Demonstrated experience leading client engagements and managing teams in a professional services environment
- Strong knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analytics
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and execute effectively
- Proficiency with financial management systems and related technologies
- Adaptability and a continuous-improvement mindset, with interest in process enhancement and innovation

Pay
Pay from: $151,000 to $246,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined by factors including the role, function, responsibilities, work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
