Senior Manager - Multi-Family Rental Housing Programs

About the role

HouseKeys is a California-based affordable housing program administrator and software company that partners with local governments, developers, property managers, lenders, and nonprofit organizations to administer affordable housing programs throughout the housing lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as HouseKeys' resident subject matter expert for multifamily affordable housing.
• Lead onboarding of new rental portfolios and jurisdictions.
• Oversee affordable housing lease-ups from marketing through tenant delivery.
• Manage ongoing compliance and asset management for stabilized communities.
• Interpret regulatory agreements and determine applicant eligibility.
• Review income, assets, household composition, and occupancy requirements.
• Prepare compliance reports and communicate with clients and public agencies.
• Lead meetings with developers, property managers, and government partners.
• Improve workflows, policies, and software requirements for rental compliance.
• Mentor internal staff and help establish operational standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of affordable housing experience preferred.
• Strong regulatory interpretation and underwriting experience.
• Experience managing affordable rental portfolios.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple complex projects.
• Strong analytical judgment and stakeholder management.
