Responsibilities
- Collaborates with acute care leadership to identify and implement process improvement strategies to reduce patient length of stay.
- Develops quality and performance criteria and metrics for departmental and organizational initiatives.
- Provides leadership and facilitates patient flow across acute care services.
- Captures and deploys staff to achieve appropriate skill mix based on patient safety, departmental coverage needs, and associated risks.
- Learns, recruits, motivates, mentors, and evaluates employees, fostering an open and professional communication environment.
- Reviews and disseminates Command Center performance and strategic goals, preparing reports to inform management and administrative teams.
- Facilitates and escalates clinical activities to complete patient flow efficiently.
- Expedites, prioritizes, synchronizes, and mediates clinical issues and barriers.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and professional standards affecting operations.
- Engages with employees to ensure productivity standards are met and understood, maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Human Resource Management competencies
- Financial Management competencies
- Ability to lead Performance Improvement initiatives on their assigned unit
- Ability to Think Critically and Utilize Technology in relation to the operations of the command center and delivery of patient throughput
- Leadership and Clinical Practice Knowledge
- Good Communication and Relationship Building skills
- Acts as a role model for Professionalism on their assigned unit of employment
- Working knowledge of InterQual criteria and its application
- Critical and emergency care knowledge
- Transport capabilities necessary to match level of care needed
- EMTALA and Florida Access to care knowledge
Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
- Master's [Preferred]
- Field Of Study in Business, Healthcare or related degree
- 3+ experience in leadership roles in a comparable health care entity [Required]
- 5+ years’ experience in nursing [Required]
Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support (BLS) [Required]

Pay
$85,529.67 - $159,089.69
Schedule
Full-time Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)
