Key Responsibilities
- Measurement Strategy & Effectiveness
- Ensure media performance is grounded in causal incrementality
- Balance short-term performance signals with long-term value implications to ensure decisions do not optimize one horizon at the expense of another
- Own interpretation and application of short and long-term measurement outputs
- Define measurement guardrails and learning agendas
- In-Flight Optimization Support
- Partner with media teams to provide decision-ready guidance during campaigns
- Help identify where incremental dollars should be shifted to improve return
- Clearly communicate confidence levels, limitations, and tradeoffs with in-flight signals
- Help teams distinguish between directional signals and validated impact
- Enterprise & Brand Allocation
- Lead cross-brand and cross-lever investment analyses
- Quantify marginal returns and trade-offs across media and other growth levers
- Support annual planning and incremental budget decisions
- Business Translation & Storytelling
- Turn complex analysis into clear, concise recommendations
- Frame size of prize, risk, and uncertainty for senior leadership
- Represent measurement outcomes with influence and credibility
- Team & Capability Building
- Manage and mentor the analyst supporting this function
- Help define best practices, templates, and standards
- Partner closely with internal data science and external measurement vendors to ensure measurement approaches are aligned, outputs are actionable, and delivery supports business decisions
- 7–10+ years of experience in media measurement, analytics, marketing science, or related fields
- Strong understanding of MMM, incrementality testing, and ROI frameworks
- Proven ability to translate analytics into business decisions
- Experience in CPG, retail media, or omnichannel marketing environments
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to present to and work with senior leadership
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, including navigating data limitations and evolving organizational structures
