CRM, email marketing, Experience Management, pitch/proposal generation, and connected data platforms). The Senior Manager, Marketing Technology will translate that MarTech strategy into action and drive results to completion. This role is one that requires the ability to assess firm needs and resources, communicate clearly on deliverables and timing and deliver on results, incorporating the vision and strategy into practical application.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the firm's migration from InterAction to Salesforce and the build-out of a unified marketing data platform that brings CRM, email marketing (currently Vuture), Experience Management, and pitch/proposal data together as a single source for reporting and business development insight.
  • Serve as the firm's primary business owner and strategic partner to the third-party implementation partner engaged for the CRM and platform builds, leading the MarTech team in execution and driving the firm's ongoing MarTech strategy.
  • Lead MarTech strategy in partnership with the Chief Business Development & Marketing Officer, the BDM team, Communications team, IT, Finance and other departments across the firm, with a clear understanding of how systems and data flow between them.
  • Leverage knowledge of firmwide initiatives (e.g., Salesforce platform, Experience Management, and marketing campaign programs) to guide technology investments and decisions across Business Development & Marketing, Communications and the firm.
  • Own Salesforce architecture and governance including security, permissions, data validation, and automation to ensure the platform remains reliable, well-governed, and built to scale as the firm's data footprint grows.
  • Lead the end-to-end migration of the firm's CRM from InterAction to Salesforce, including requirements gathering, data mapping, configuration, testing, training, and adoption.
  • Serve as a primary point of accountability to the third-party implementation vendor for the CRM and Salesforce platform builds.
  • Execute a unified business development and marketing data platform, integrating CRM, email marketing (currently Vuture), Experience Management, and pitch/proposal data and additional marketing data sources over time into a single, governed environment that powers firmwide reporting and business development insight.
  • Set the vision for the firm's business development and marketing data architecture, ensuring the data that the Business Development and Marketing Teams need are available in the systems where they work.
  • With the MarTech team, oversee the firm's Experience Management platform and pitch/proposal generation tool, partnering with Business Development and Marketing on requirements and ensuring both integrate cleanly into the CRM and Salesforce platform architecture.
  • Champion the marketing campaign management capabilities within the MarTech stack, ensuring the CRM, email marketing, and Salesforce platform infrastructure can support scalable, well-executed campaigns, in partnership with Business Development, Marketing and Communications.
  • Elevate data governance, data quality, and privacy compliance from a platform-level responsibility to a firmwide framework, partnering with IT, Records/Risk, Finance and outside counsel as needed, and monitoring the evolving data privacy landscape to keep the department's practices current.
  • Track market and competitive trends in legal marketing technology to inform investment priorities and differentiate the firm's capabilities.
  • Oversee and manage team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Partner with Business Development and Marketing, Web, IT, AI, HR, Finance and other departments on technology decisions and firmwide initiatives, reflecting MarTech priorities for the firm.
  • Communicate with confidence and credibility across departments, translating technical concepts into business outcomes for non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and manage the MarTech budget across the full stack, forecasting investment needs as the firm's data and platform footprint grows.
  • Serve as an escalation point for cross-system, firmwide, or vendor-level issues beyond first-line support.
  • Stay current on AI-enabled capabilities across the MarTech landscape (e.g., AI features within Salesforce, email marketing/automation platforms, and data/reporting tools) and evaluate where they can improve data quality, efficiency, or insight bringing recommendations to firm leadership and adapting the team's tools and workflows as the landscape evolves.
