Position Summary

LG Energy Solution Vertech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Information Technology to lead enterprise IT operations while actively shaping the company’s technology strategy, operating model, and future-state roadmap. This role is responsible not only for the reliability, security, and effectiveness of IT services, but also for anticipating risk, enabling growth, and recommending innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the IT department strategy, multi-year roadmap, and annual execution plans aligned with LGES Vertech business priorities.

  • Proactively identify technology risks, scalability constraints, and modernization opportunities and present data-driven recommendations to leadership.

  • Translate enterprise and HQ-driven initiatives into executable, Vertech-specific plans.

  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to executive leadership.

  • Own day-to-day IT operations supporting engineering, corporate, and field teams.

  • Oversee end-user computing, identity and access management, infrastructure, networking, and cloud services.

  • Ensure IT services are secure, resilient, compliant, and user-focused.

  • Continuously improve IT service management, escalation models, and operational metrics.

  • Partner closely with Cybersecurity leadership on access control, monitoring, and offboarding processes.

  • Ensure IT practices support ISO 27001, SOC 2, LGES policies, and customer cybersecurity requirements.

  • Identify and mitigate operational, security, and vendor risks before escalation.

  • Lead or co-lead major IT transformation initiatives including cloud, identity, and device modernization.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI-enabled tools and automation platforms.

  • Enable controlled adoption of tools that improve productivity, quality, and collaboration.

  • Own IT vendor strategy, performance management, and renewal planning.

  • Manage IT operating and capital budgets with transparency and business alignment.

  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and other LGES Vertech functional teams on contracts and major IT investments.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff and contractors.

  • Establish clear ownership, escalation paths, and cross-training to reduce single points of failure.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving.

  • Define and track IT performance and service metrics.

  • Communicate clearly to leadership during incidents, migrations, and major decision points.

  • Partner with the Continuous Improvement and other LGES Vertech functional teams to improve IT workflows and cross-functional handoffs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience with demonstrated training and certificate achievements.

  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience including people management and enterprise systems ownership.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop IT strategies, roadmaps, and execution plans.

  • Strong knowledge of identity and access management, cloud platforms, SaaS ecosystems, and IT security fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in energy, manufacturing, engineering, or complex B2B environments.

  • Familiarity with LGES-style HQ coordination and global stakeholder environments.

  • Experience supporting ISO 27001, SOC 2, or customer-driven compliance programs.

  • Hands-on exposure to AI tools, automation, or IT modernization initiatives.

  • Advanced working knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure strategies with practical experience transitioning systems from on-premise to cloud.

Location Preference

Well-qualified candidates from other regions may also be considered, with an expectation of traveling to the Westborough office at least one week per month.
