Senior Manager - Global Trade Compliance / Principal Attorney(Hybrid/Remote)

About the role

This position requires advanced experience as a trade compliance professional, an understanding of how a trade compliance function supports the business, programs and functions, strong writing and communication skills, a high level of organization and follow up skills, the ability to complete detail oriented tasks and to work independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Experienced empowered official who is an expert in compliance with US export and import laws including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
• Aids with internal investigations and prepares draft disclosures, including analysis of issues and development of findings, conducts interviews, develops written summaries, researches regulations, prepares draft correspondence to US Government agencies.
• Aids with assigned compliance tasks, data calls, reporting requirements, record keeping and file management, working groups, continuous improvement projects, process and procedure development, and training.

Requirements

• Experience working as an Empowered Official in the defense industry
• Experience working in OCR EMS export management software

Qualifications

• Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in export control including investigations, Master's Degree in export control, including investigations, and 6 years of experience, JD and 4+ years of experience in export compliance investigations.
• Education Preferred: Additional Information Preferring a candidate with 4-5 years experience as an empowered official managing voluntary disclosures connected to both the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
