Senior Manager, Global Surgery Commercial Education – Wound Closure and Healing
Purpose
The Senior Manager, Global Surgery Commercial Education leads a team responsible for the global learning, curriculum, and enablement strategy for the Wound Closure and Healing (WCH) platform, driving measurable performance outcomes, scalable solutions, and learning innovation. Reporting to the Director of Global Commercial Education, this role partners with Global Marketing and regional teams to translate business strategy into integrated enablement solutions—combining curriculum, tools, technology, and experiences that accelerate time to productivity and improve commercial execution. The Senior Manager ensures learning and enablement approaches are globally aligned, data‑informed, and future‑ready, while enabling regions to adopt and deploy locally.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Education Managers and contractors delivering global curriculum and enablement for the platform, providing clear prioritization, direction, and performance oversight.
- Partner with Global Marketing, Sales, HEMA, and regional Commercial Education teams to execute enablement solutions aligned to business objectives while operating within established governance models for quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Oversee platform‑level delivery, vendors, and budget, ensuring initiatives are executed on time, on budget, and to Johnson & Johnson standards.
- Partner with the Global Commercial Education Leadership Team to shape platform‑level global enablement strategy, aligning curriculum, tools, and learning experiences to commercial and marketing priorities across the learning lifecycle.
- Lead global curriculum and enablement design to build product knowledge, clinical confidence, selling effectiveness, and field readiness across instructor‑led, virtual, digital, and blended formats.
- Collaborate with regional and country Commercial Education teams to translate global strategies into coherent learning journeys and enablement solutions, ensuring scalability, consistent execution, and launch readiness.
- Partner with the Global CommEd LT and stakeholders to define clear, actionable metrics that measure enablement effectiveness at the platform level.
- Use insights and data to inform curriculum decisions, enablement improvements, and investment trade‑offs.
- Communicate performance insights, risks, and recommendations to leadership in a concise, decision‑oriented manner.
- Act as a forward‑thinking thought partner by identifying and leveraging learning and AI enabled technologies and platforms that improve scale, experience, and impact.
- Explore and pilot new enablement approaches (e.g., digital reinforcement, adaptive learning, AI‑enabled insights, experiential simulations) aligned to platform needs.
- Identify opportunities to modernize enablement through automation, modularization, and improved content reuse.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 8 years of work experience with 7 years of Healthcare commercial experience
- Proven ability to understand business strategy; translate it into learning solutions that support the company’s business goals
- Ability to lead cross functional teams and across a matrix organization
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of strategic planning, needs assessment, adult learning, and cost benefit analysis
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Instructional Design (preferred)
- Knowledge of Wound Closure and Healing business (preferred)
- Proven ability to manage vendor resources

Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $122,000.00 – $212,750.00. This position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan, and is eligible to participate in the Company’s long‑term incentive program. Employees are also eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
