Responsibilities
- Own the fraud rule lifecycle by designing, testing, deploying, and optimizing detection rules
- Lead end-to-end AI-enabled fraud use cases, including sizing and data quality assessments
- Conduct performance reviews of fraud models, driving root-cause investigations proactively
- Act as a trusted advisor for AI and ML use cases, ensuring alignment with governance standards
- Evaluate vendor fraud solutions analytically for effectiveness and cost relative to risk reduction
- Stay updated on AI and automation tools to enhance fraud detection workflows
- Write and maintain SQL queries to investigate fraud signals and identify patterns
- Develop executive dashboards covering fraud metrics and trends
- Translate analytical findings into clear, executive-ready narratives
- Proactively identify trends and anomalies, communicating them effectively to stakeholders
- Serve as an internal escalation point for complex cases in daily fraud review operations
Qualifications
- 4-6 years in fraud analytics, fraud strategy, or payments risk, preferably in fintech, e-commerce, or a marketplace
- Strong SQL proficiency with the ability to write complex queries and perform data troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience in order-level fraud review, chargebacks, dispute management, and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to build risk reporting dashboards and present findings to technical and senior leadership audiences
- Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows and interest in applying AI responsibly in fraud and risk contexts
- Self-starter capable of synthesizing complex information and connecting cases to broader systemic patterns
