About the role
The Senior Manager, FP&A will support the development and execution of financial planning processes while serving as a strategic finance partner to business leaders.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of financial planning processes
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to business leaders
- Lead and support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-range planning cycles
- Manage and analyze departmental budgets, identify risks, opportunities, and drivers impacting financial outcomes
- Own and enhance financial planning systems, including model maintenance, reporting improvements, data integrity, dashboards, and user support
- Create executive-ready presentations and reporting materials that clearly communicate financial trends and recommendations
- Develop scalable FP&A processes, reporting standards, and planning governance aligned with public-company and SOX compliance requirements
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, and external partners to improve operational efficiency and financial visibility
Requirements
- Experienced FP&A professional with strong financial analysis skills, business acumen, and experience operating in complex, growth-oriented environments
- Comfortable partnering with executives, managing multiple priorities, and translating financial information into strategic recommendations
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required
- MBA, CPA, or other advanced finance/accounting credentials preferred
- 6-8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, or business planning roles
- Experience working in a public company environment with strong understanding of financial controls and reporting processes
- Biotech, biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related industry experience required
- Commercial finance or product launch readiness experience strongly preferred
- Strong FP&A fundamentals, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage complex analyses and communicate key findings effectively
- Strong PowerPoint and executive communication skills with experience preparing leadership-level materials
- Experience with financial planning platforms such as Adaptive Planning strongly preferred
- Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decisions through data-driven insights
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
