Senior Manager Food and Nutrition Services
About the Role
Accountable for leading, guiding, and directing the Trinity Health ministry area functional responsibilities. Enable ministry level strategy to address internal or external business and regulatory issues; provide functional expertise and ensure fulfillment of performance and service standards. Responsible for consistent operating performance and achieving financial goals. Identifies, defines, and solves complex problems that impact the management and direction of the business. Collaborates with System Services Function Area, Regions, and Health Ministries to ensure consistency and integration of strategy and operations. Maintains awareness of new industry developments and standards. Provides decision support, operations, and optimization leadership focus.
Responsibilities
- Leadership: Providing advice, guidance, and leadership to RHM and Ministry leaders in developing strategies and in the achievement of performance goals. Enable collaboration across and within System Services Function Area, Regions, and Health Ministries.
- Direction & Growth: Leading standardization/systemness and optimization of policy, process, and methodology, establishing a national community of practice. Oversee Vendor/Contract Labor Management including centralizing strategy and optimizing spend.
- Strategic Support & Accountability: Collaborates in system-wide strategy development and deployment of functional area priorities and initiatives. Supports regional efforts to comply with functional area priorities. Accountable for the selection, evaluation, and overall success of the functional leadership teams. Serves as an organization-wide focal point for establishing functional strategies and governance over financials and staffing. Ensures communication between System Services Function Area, Regions, and Health Ministries leaders.
- Operational Delivery: Responsible for measuring and reporting KPIs/metrics and value delivery. Providing advice, guidance, and leadership for the colleague life cycle. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior and safe work practices.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree (AA/AS) preferred in Hospitality Management, Food and Nutrition Services, Dietary Services, Business Administration, or other related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience required in healthcare food service management, to include direct supervision and managing or leading a team, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with computer-based programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Five (5) or more years of experience in Healthcare Food Service Management or Hospitality Services, to include strategic and operational experience managing and leading large teams.

- Indirect Healthcare Support Services:
- Continuous clinical/patient-facing work environment.
- Includes continuous work time indoors (subject to travel requirements) under temperature-controlled and well-lit conditions; may encounter occasional variable external environmental conditions.
- Includes occasional lifting, up to 30 pounds unassisted; occasional travel; continuous use of computer; includes continuous sitting and may require occasional long periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing.
- Direct Healthcare & Indirect/Support Healthcare Services: Must be able to:
- Adapt to frequent interruptions, shifting priorities, and stressful situations; attend to tasks until complete.
- Understand and relate to complex ideas and concepts and remember multiple tasks and regimens extending over long periods of time while working on concurrent tasks/projects.
- Continuously read small print; frequently hear normal sounds and voice patterns; give/receive instructions and other verbal communications in-person and over the phone/computer/device/equipment assigned with some background noise.
- Perform continuous manual dexterity activities and occasional grasping/handling.
- Continuously maintain a safe working environment and use available personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay
Pay Range: $100,205 - $150,307 per year. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
