Qualifications
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization
- Experience in verbal and written communication for executive level leaders
- Bachelor's degree in public policy, communications, political science, law, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in public affairs, public policy, government relations, corporate communications, or safety/transportation advocacy — with increasing levels of responsibility
- 3+ years of experience managing and developing teams, with a demonstrated ability to hire, coach, and grow talent while maintaining high performance standards
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing external engagement strategies that influence policy outcomes or shape public narratives for a large, complex organization
- Track record of building and managing relationships with government officials, regulators, legislators, or senior external stakeholders
- Background working across multiple geographies and cultures; comfort operating in a matrixed, global organization
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally based on business need
