What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

• Direct the activities of Site and District Safety Managers
• Partner with Operations leadership to achieve safety and performance objectives
• Champion a proactive safety culture
• Lead and standardize case management processes
• Oversee and enhance the onsite Athletic Trainer (AT) program
• Identify trends and opportunities through data analysis
• Develop and lead cross-functional safety initiatives
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
• Drive consistent execution of safety audits and risk assessments
• Partner with training teams to ensure robust onboarding and certification
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and regulatory matters thoroughly
• Coach leaders to use structured problem-solving methodologies
• Integrate safety into daily operations

What You Need to Succeed at GXO

• 5 years of progressively responsible experience implementing environmental compliance programs
• 3 years of supervisory/management experience in a team-focused environment
• Experience interpreting and applying state and federal environmental regulations
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field (optional)
• 8+ years of experience implementing environmental compliance programs (optional)
• Project management experience (optional)
