Senior Manager Engineering – Meta Factory
About the role
The Opportunity Adobe Unified Platform is building the system that changes how software gets made at Adobe. A platform that understands builders’ intent, breaks down complex work, executes it through autonomous agents, and improves with every cycle. What this team ships multiplies across thousands of Adobe engineers, and it's the substrate the rest of Adobe's agentic efforts build on. Meta Factory is the core of this platform. It is Adobe’s Agentic Builders Experience: a model-independent system that helps agents understand goals, use tools, evaluate outcomes, and improve over time. Think of it as Adobe’s company-wide version of Claude Code, optimized for Adobe’s needs and operated as a platform for the whole company. We are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to build and lead the teams that own Meta Factory.
Responsibilities
- Own engineering execution for Meta Factory, including the agent harness, agent definitions, execution loop, evaluations, self-improvement systems, and skills framework.
- Lead development of the agent harness, including runtime, tool integrations, context management, control mechanisms, and execution environments.
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering team that partners cross-functionally to turn strategy into prioritized, reliable, secure, and scalable execution.
- Design feedback systems that help agents evaluate their work, learn from outcomes, and improve over time.
- Lead build-versus-buy evaluations across the Meta Factory stack, with clear recommendations on where to adopt external solutions and where Adobe should build key capabilities.
- Stay current with agentic standards, model capabilities, and AI engineering practices, and apply relevant advances to Meta Factory.
