  • Partner with Product, Architecture, and Engineering leadership to define and execute the DAM engineering strategy in alignment with broader IWMS objectives.

The Role

The Digital Account Management (DAM) product area within Institutional Wealth Management Services (IWMS) is seeking a Senior Manager, Full Stack Engineering to help define the technical strategy, engineering direction, and delivery of digital capabilities supporting Institutional Account Onboarding and Account Maintenance.

Responsibilities

As a hands-on engineering leader, you will balance people leadership with technical leadership—guiding architecture, driving engineering excellence, and contributing directly to the development lifecycle.

You will play a key role in advancing platform modernization, improving technical health, and ensuring the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-quality digital experiences.

Success in this role requires strong collaboration across engineering teams, product management, architecture, operations, and enterprise platform partners.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated interest in developing the leadership, administrative, and organizational capabilities required for effective people management while continuing to lead as a hands-on engineering leader.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and coordinating the delivery of complex solutions within agile teams.
  • Strong commitment to remaining hands-on, including contributing code, conducting code reviews, and promoting engineering best practices.
  • Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, JavaScript, Angular, and related modern application development technologies.
  • Strong software architecture and design experience, including accessibility, security, resiliency, scalability, and enterprise technology standards.
  • Proven ability to drive solution design, technical decision-making, estimation, dependency management, and execution of complex initiatives.
  • Experience improving engineering effectiveness through modernization efforts, automation, technical health initiatives, and the application of AI-enabled development tools.
  • Solid understanding of operational excellence practices, including observability, site reliability engineering (SRE), incident management, and production support models.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence engineering, product, and leadership teams.
  • Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning, developing leadership capabilities, and elevating overall team performance.
