About the role
We're looking for a Senior Manager/Director, Product and Content Marketing to build and lead three critical functions at LIV: product marketing, content marketing, and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Own product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy in partnership with the Product team and VP of Marketing.
- Translate product capabilities, releases, and roadmap into compelling narratives for AHJs, inspection companies, and civic partners.
- Develop sales enablement materials—battle cards, one-pagers, demo scripts, competitive briefs—that arm the sales and BDR teams to win.
- Lead product launch programs from messaging through execution, coordinating across marketing, product, sales, and CX.
- Build and maintain competitive intelligence and market research to inform positioning and strategy.
- Partner with the Customer Experience team to capture customer stories, case studies, and proof points that drive credibility.
- Build and execute a content strategy that positions LIV as the authority in fire and life safety compliance—spanning blog, long-form assets, case studies, whitepapers, video, and magnet content.
- Create a sustainable editorial calendar and AI-powered content engine that feeds organic growth, SEO, AEO, and mid-funnel nurture programs.
- Develop thought leadership programs that elevate LIV’s executives and subject matter experts as industry voices—including speaking sessions, bylined articles, and conference content.
- Partner with Growth Marketing to ensure content maps to the buyer journey and supports demand generation goals.
- Support the SEO and AEO (answer engine optimization) strategy to grow LIV’s organic visibility and capture high-intent search traffic.
- Own external communications including press releases, media relations, PR strategy, and crisis communications.
- Build relationships with trade media, industry publications, and relevant journalists in the fire safety and govtech space.
- Develop and manage LIV’s social media strategy, calendar, and execution—building an engaged audience of fire safety professionals and industry stakeholders.
- Serve as a key contributor to LIV’s brand identity, voice, and visual standards—ensuring consistency across all channels and customer touchpoints.
- Partner with the VP of Marketing on brand strategy and positioning as the company scales.
- Operate in an AI-forward manner, using tools like Claude, HubSpot, Notion, and other tools to accelerate output and quality.
- Build AI-powered workflows, agents, and toolsets that multiply team capacity and enable LIV’s marketing function to punch above its weight.
- Identify opportunities to automate, systematize, and scale content production, research, and campaign execution through AI.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in product marketing, content marketing, and/or communications in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Exceptional writer and storyteller who can translate complex, technical subject matter into clear, compelling content for a specialized audience.
- Experience developing product positioning, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market strategies.
- Strategic thinker who can build a 12-month roadmap and also ship a LinkedIn post—comfortable operating at both the strategic and executional level.
- Strong project manager who keeps multiple workstreams moving.
- Proactive, organized, and comfortable managing competing priorities at startup pace.
- Deeply curious about the industries you serve. You learn fast, ask the right questions, and develop genuine expertise in your company’s space.
- Comfortable operating at startup speed and scale. You don’t wait for perfect—you ship, learn, and iterate.
- Experienced with modern marketing and AI tools. Familiarity with HubSpot, Salesforce, Notion, SEO/AEO tools like Profound and AI-assisted workflows is a plus.
- Collaborative and low-ego. You build strong relationships across teams and understand that marketing is a team sport.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience in fire safety, public safety, or adjacent govtech/compliance industries.
- A portfolio that demonstrates product marketing, brand-building, or content programs that drove measurable business results.

- Hands-on experience building AI workflows, agents, or automated toolsets to scale marketing output.
- PR and media relations experience, particularly in trade and industry media.
