About the Role
The Senior Manager is a key delivery and people leader supporting Interoperability solutions within Nordic’s Strategic Advisory Services division. This position will manage strategic projects and client relationships with traditional healthcare providers and third-party digital health companies, ranging from early-stage startups to global MedTech companies. The role improves client delivery and EHR user workflow adoption of products and data while collaborating with sales and partnerships teams to enhance Nordic’s reputation in the digital health technology and healthcare system markets.

Responsibilities
- Act as a solution and technical subject matter expert in a customer-facing role.
- Provide pre-sales solution generation that aligns with client needs and secures client support.
- Elicit customer requirements, vision solutions, and document technical and business requirements for web applications.
- Lead and manage interoperability projects, including designing and implementing interfaces using Epic Bridges, HL7, FHIR, and SMART on FHIR.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, IT teams, and vendors to assess systems and recommend data exchange solutions.
- Oversee development, testing, and deployment of client interfaces to ensure seamless EHR integration.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior consultants and team members.
- Conduct detailed analysis of client needs and create integration roadmaps tailored to organizational infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, data standards, and security protocols, including HIPAA.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data interoperability, system integration, and interface performance.
- Stay current with industry trends, standards, and technologies in healthcare interoperability.
- Lead solution development through iterative planning, scoping, documentation, and client discussions.
- Collaborate with Nordic leadership, EHR architects, and Advisory solution teams on interoperability and integration design.
- Demonstrate executive presence and deliver dynamic presentations to executive audiences.
- Improve processes, internal support documents, and workflows while managing multiple projects.
- Coordinate internal resources, forecast work, and manage team assignments.
- Facilitate the growth of less senior team members by teaching technical tools and operational knowledge.
- Participate in continuous learning, including new Epic or professional certifications.
- Uphold and strengthen the Digital Health team culture alongside Nordic’s corporate culture.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare IT, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience with Epic Bridges, HL7, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, or other healthcare integration technologies.
- 4+ years of people management experience.
- Extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining healthcare data interfaces.
- Experience with Epic EHR systems, including strong knowledge of Epic Bridges.
- Expertise in HL7 messaging standards (Version 2.x, CDA, IHE profiles).
- Strong knowledge of FHIR APIs and their implementation in real-world healthcare environments.
- Experience with SMART on FHIR applications and third-party EHR integrations.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability protocols (e.g., X12, DICOM, CDA) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to lead multiple projects and manage client relationships effectively.
- Experience in a consulting or advisory role.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their applications in healthcare.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical topics to business partners.
- Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims.
Additional Details
This is a remote position with travel expected to be 15% or less.
