WordPress VIP is the world’s leading enterprise content management platform, helping leading companies and organizations (including NASA, Salesforce, and Disney) create powerful digital experiences with WordPress.

About the role

As Senior Manager, Demand Generation at WordPress VIP, you bring deep craft expertise in demand generation and lifecycle marketing from lead creation through closed/won opportunities. You’ll build our demand generation strategy across integrated programs in our priority industries: Media, Public Sector, and Corporate (including Manufacturing & Industrial, Technology, and BFSI—Banking, Financial Services and Insurance). You’ll draw on a shared AI Intelligence Layer (Product Marketing, AI agents, customer insight) for industry depth and insights on demand, working with AI agents the way other marketers work with juniors: brief them, review the output, ship what’s good, retrain what isn’t. You’re T-shaped, AI-fluent, and strong with data. You read a pipeline report, interrogate it, and decide what to do differently.

Responsibilities

  • Craft anchor: Always-on demand generation strategy. Own the continuous strategy for lifecycle (lead through to closed/won), email, content syndication, and new demand programs and channels. This includes running campaigns as your own programs, including Tier 1 product launches, and balancing top-of-funnel always-on campaigns with demand gen plays.
  • Multi-channel, multi-touch programs. Anchored in conversion rate optimization and designed to convert leads to SQLs; executing holistic programs including content, email, and landing pages in collaboration with Marketing Ops, Web, Paid Media, and Integrated Marketers.
  • Opportunity-led plays. Spot and respond to revenue opportunities as they emerge: a major industry moment, an inbound surge, a competitive shift, a partner play. Our internal Pipeline Council surfaces signals weekly, and you mobilize with the right mix of channels and assets. For some sprints, you anchor on one industry; for others, you run programs spanning three or four. You can flex without ever losing the thread.
  • Working the AI intelligence layer. Shape AI insights and understand that intelligence is only useful if the team using it makes it better. You use AI agents and skills in your day-to-day workflow. Agents do the volume work; you do the judgment work.
  • Cross-team operating. Work as part of a team of senior integrated marketers, including strategists in Partner Marketing, Experiential Marketing, ABM, and a Paid Media Strategist.

Requirements

  • Craft: Strong B2B enterprise marketing experience, ideally enterprise SaaS or technology. Proven experience owning and running programs that move pipeline. Understanding of lifecycle marketing. Built lifecycle programs from scratch, made data-driven optimization decisions, and moved lead-to-Closed/Won conversion metrics. Proficiency in marketing analytics platforms, with deep fluency in Google Analytics—independently configuring conversion events, tracking, and reporting infrastructure, plus experience with Tableau, Looker, and A/B testing tools. Ideally, experience with Demandbase, 6sense, and HubSpot.
  • AI fluency: Actively use AI tools in your work today—not as a novelty, but as infrastructure. Have a point of view on what AI does well, where it fails, and where the human still earns the call. Comfortable briefing agents, building skills, reviewing outputs critically, and iterating prompts and workflows. See AI as a leverage multiplier for senior marketers, not a threat to the craft.
  • Data fluency: Read dashboards before meetings, not after. Pull your own data, build your own views, and ask sharper follow-up questions than the report shows. Make decisions from data without being paralyzed by it. Know when the data is good enough to move and when it’s not. Tell the story behind the numbers in a way executive leadership can act on. Collaborate closely with Marketing Ops and finance to build and maintain dashboards, providing ongoing insights and clear reporting on campaign results.
  • How you operate: Comfortable with ambiguity and re-prioritization. Strong collaborator—peers genuinely partner, share, and trust each other. Bias to ship—programs in market beat programs in planning. Curious about the industries you’ll work across. Don’t need to be a Financial Services or Public Sector expert on day one, but need the curiosity to get smart fast.

Qualifications

  • Strong B2B enterprise marketing experience, ideally enterprise SaaS or technology.
  • Track record of running growth programs that move pipeline and revenue, not just produce activity.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Looker) and experience with A/B testing tools.
  • Significant experience leading demand generation programs that have meaningfully shifted acquisition, progression, and expansion metrics.
  • Hands-on AI fluency. Use AI agents and LLM-based tools as part of your day-to-day workflow, and can brief, review, and iterate on agent outputs at a senior level.
  • Strong data fluency. Comfortable pulling your own data, building your own views, interrogating dashboards, and making sharp calls from imperfect inputs.
  • Experience operating in environments that prioritize speed and re-prioritization over fixed annual plans. Comfortable with sprint cadences and shifting scope.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Brand & Growth, and Customer Success. Build trust with peers, not just deliverables.

Note: We are only considering candidates based in North America at this time.
