About the Role

Genmab is seeking an experienced data steward to perform consumer stewardship and lead data governance across US Market domains. The consumer data steward will ensure high-quality golden records for patients, caregivers, and HCPs. In this role, you will ensure that data is trusted, well-governed, and actionable, enabling high-quality analytics, personalization, and decision-making across Commercial, Medical, and Digital teams. You’ll operate with a high degree of independence, influencing stakeholders and shaping how data is managed across the US Market.

Work arrangement: This role offers flexibility to work away from the office for 20%–40% of a typical schedule. Employees may use this work schedule in increments of single days or multiple consecutive days, provided it does not exceed 40% within a 60-day period, and is approved by the hiring manager.

Responsibilities

  • Lead data stewardship for consumer data as an individual contributor.
  • Define and enforce data standards, business definitions, and data quality rules.
  • Partner with stakeholders to resolve data issues and improve data integrity.
  • Partner with business, privacy, legal, and enterprise governance teams to implement and operationalize data governance frameworks and policies.
  • Collaborate with data science, analytics, architecture, and external teams to embed governance into data platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Drive adoption of governance tools and promote data literacy across the organization.

Technology Environment

  • Daily use of Reltio for Master Data Management.
  • Frequent use of Databricks, DBT, and Unity Catalog for access control, QC, governance, and lineage.
  • Occasional use of Salesforce Data 360 to support digital marketing teams.
  • Occasional use of Salesforce Health Cloud for supporting end users.
  • Occasional use of Tableau for analytics and reporting.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data management.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, metadata, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience with MDM (Reltio preferred) and governed data platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data 360, and Life Sciences Cloud preferred.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience in pharma, biotech, healthcare, or other regulated industries is a plus.

Leveling & Scope

  • Individual contributor role with enterprise and US Market-level ownership.
  • Recognized subject matter expert in data governance and stewardship.
  • Operates with high autonomy, setting direction within domain.
  • Influences cross-functional and senior stakeholders (Commercial, Medical, Digital, IT).
  • Leads initiatives and may mentor or guide other data stewards.
  • Leads cross-functional data councils to promote standardization throughout the enterprise.
  • Contributes to strategy execution, partnering closely with Director-level leadership.

Pay

Compensation Range: $143,840.00 - $215,760.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
