About This Role
As BSDS Lead, you will be responsible for creating a team capable of developing and deploying Data Analytics tools, Data Visualization, maintaining data integrity, and providing business support and direction in the development of Next Generation MES solutions in a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing environment. You will also support the deployment of the Next Generation MES and ERP solutions across all Surgical Vision Sites. This role provides strategic direction for Surgical Vision’s Manufacturing Business Systems and supports the development and execution of the Make Digital/Data Solutions Roadmap in conjunction with the Manufacturing For the Future (MFF) team, Operations, Engineering, Automation, Quality, IT, and other key functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and standardize Business Systems, Data Analytics, and maintain Make data integrity while providing business support in a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Provide strategic direction for Vision Cares Business Systems and support the development and execution of the Make Digital/Data Solutions roadmap in collaboration with IT, Manufacturing for the Future (MFF), Operations, Engineering, Automation, Process Excellence, Quality, and other key functions.
- Develop new business system solutions and maintain data integrity and current Production Data tools to increase OEE, productivity, improve quality, compliance, and customer service.
- Configure and test Next Generation Manufacturing Execution System (MES) functionality from initial concept to final design and implementation, mapping customer requirements to MES functionality and creating user stories.
- Provide support and technical expertise for current Business Systems and data tools, including MES, Top N, Functional, and site metrics.
- Build relationships with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Automation to identify new business and process optimization opportunities.
- Develop strategic relationships and collaborate with other J&J sites, key stakeholders, service providers, vendors, and third-level institutions to share standard methodologies, new ideas, and insights.
- Investigate issues and troubleshoot faults for Make Business Systems, Data tools, and system interfaces.
- Establish and set appropriate norms and behaviors for the Make Business Systems & Solutions team.
- Ensure the BSDS team works in accordance with the latest Medical Device Regulatory and Quality compliance requirements while promoting a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Ensure work is delivered to requisite quality, within budget, and to agreed timelines; resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Act as Business Product Owner for Site Systems in Añasco and for ERP HPT Squad for JJSV.
- Serve as Make representative on the Digital Council.
- Manage Business Systems to support harmonization and standardization between sites where it makes business sense, ensuring alignment with Enterprise standards and future SC Technology Landscape.
- Manage Capital Appropriation Requests for Site Systems, including MSP and MFF developments.
- Support Añasco site requests for new Data Visualizations for Make to support OEE Growth.
- Responsible for people development, focusing on building a diverse pipeline and ensuring succession plans for key positions.
Requirements
- Production/Engineering Management Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a production management or senior supervisory role within a multinational company.
- Minimum of 18 months experience in the existing role for internal candidates.
- Previous experience within the Healthcare/Medical Devices sector.
