Senior Manager, Data Analytics, Utility - Walmart Energy

Position Summary

The Senior Manager will play a key role in helping Walmart understand and optimize how we pay for energy across our portfolio using data analytics. You’ll focus on utility tariffs and energy cost modeling—translating complex rate structures and load data into actionable insights that inform business and infrastructure decisions. You’ll partner closely with other teams to answer data-driven questions like: What is the right tariff for a site? How will new loads (like EV charging) impact our utility costs? What will a project cost over time under different scenarios?

What you'll do

• Manage utility partnerships across electric, gas, water, sewer, and propane vendors in the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
• Assess and provide guidance on rate reviews and regulations.
• Track and analyze utility rate increases to support regulatory efforts and cost forecasting.
• Develop and execute utility products, services, and incentive procurement for energy efficiency and electric vehicle charging.
• Lead utility data acquisition initiatives and collaborate with utility leaders and trade organizations to support operational objectives.
• Drive business plans by identifying needs, removing barriers, and measuring performance through metrics.
• Mentor and develop associates, fostering a high-performing environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
• Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
• Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. 1 year's supervisory experience.
