Senior Manager- Data Analysis

Today, we're a Fortune 200 company and a leader in data-driven decision-making. As a Senior Manager, you'll partner with various teams to validate business-implementing analytical tools. You'll enhance your technical and analytical skills while influencing business strategies.
Responsibilities
- Refine a new enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework
- Plan and execute validation projects
- Assess the quality and risk of analytical tool methodologies across Capital One and the nature of tools' usage within those processes
- Understand technical issues in analytical tools and assess their risks and opportunities
- Independently research, identify, and prototype industry best practices for emerging analytical tools
- Communicate results clearly and concisively through validation reports and presentations
- Coach and mentor junior staff
Requirements
- Currently has or is obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative fields (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field) with at least 7 years of experience in data analytics
- Has a Master’s Degree in a Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in data analytics, with the expectation that the degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date
- At least 5 years of experience in professional data analysis work
- At least 5 years of experience leading and developing with open source data technologies
- At least 2 years of experience managing people
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or PhD in a Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field
- At least 7 years of experience in statistical or econometrics hands-on work
- At least 5 years of experience manipulating and performing analysis with large data sets
- At least 5 years of experience in financial services industry
- At least 5 years of experience in developing statistical or econometric models
- At least 5 years of experience in validating statistical or econometric models
- At least 2 years of experience with data governance
- At least 2 years of experience with predictive analytics
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and conceptual thinking abilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Pay
Salaries for this role vary by location. For example, in Plano, TX, the minimum annual salary is $182,500 and the maximum is $208,300 for a Senior Data Analysis Manager. Please note that this salary information is for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations. The actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
