Senior Manager Cybersecurity Incident Response and Business Continuity
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Manager Cybersecurity Incident Response and Business Continuity to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead the organization's approach to cyber incident response, ensuring rapid coordination, clear decision-making, and effective communication during high-pressure events. The position will also shape business continuity planning and recovery readiness so the company can maintain operational resilience across the business. In addition, the leader will partner closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to mature incident management practices, improve documentation, and strengthen preparedness. This is an opportunity to guide a small team while influencing both technical response and broader business continuity strategy.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $150,000 – $175,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead cyber incident command and coordinate response efforts during high-pressure events
- Provide concise updates to senior leaders, translating technical details into business decisions
- Guide and develop a small team focused on incident coordination and business continuity
- Mature the organization's incident management approach with clear strategies and documentation
- Oversee business continuity planning and conduct business impact assessments
- Design and facilitate recovery tests and tabletop exercises to prepare for disruptions
- Coordinate with various departments to streamline response activities
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity incident management or business continuity
- Proven experience providing structured updates to executives in high-pressure situations
- Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching and developing talent
- Ability to simplify complex cybersecurity issues for diverse audiences
- Extensive organizational skills with clear prioritization of tasks
- Familiarity with NIST and ISO frameworks for incident response and recovery
- Experience in technology or Software as a Service organizations is desirable
