Senior Manager, Controllership - Close and Consolidations
About the role
The Senior Manager, Close and Consolidation, leads the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role oversees financing reporting, global close, financial controls, and balance sheet reconciliations while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. The position drives business plan execution by identifying operational needs and performance metrics, fostering team development through coaching and mentoring, and promoting adherence to company policies and ethical standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and communicate business impacts within regulatory frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to reporting policies, Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements, and government filing obligations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to validate financial documentation and maintain compliance.
- Support and help improve the consolidation system environment through issue triage, validation, testing support, reconciliation, and process improvement.
- Apply understanding of consolidation system logic and dependencies to strengthen close activities, reporting reliability, and automation opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Experience supporting close, consolidation, and reporting activities in a controlled environment.
- A strong systems mindset, including the ability to understand how consolidation platforms support accounting processes, controls, and reporting outcomes.
- Proficiency with Oracle Essbase and SAP General Ledger systems or similar financial platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Tech, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or related area.
- 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock options.
