About the role
The Senior Manager, Construction, leads the planning, execution, and completion of major construction projects by managing schedules, budgets, and contractor coordination to ensure quality and timely delivery. This role drives strategic initiatives, fosters collaboration across internal and external teams, and oversees compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met through effective coordination of contractors and material procurement.
- Oversee contract execution, change directives, and documentation to support timely project completion and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, legal, and real estate to resolve design and site-specific issues.
- Drive strategic initiatives by developing multi-year plans, removing barriers, and aligning resources to achieve business goals.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management to construction teams, fostering a high-performing work environment.
- Monitor project expenses, implement risk management strategies, and promote continuous improvement in construction processes.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in construction and project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop associates effectively.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities to drive project completion and resolve design or site-specific issues.
- Expertise in quality control, risk management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects while balancing resources and priorities.
- Proficiency in financial management and monitoring project expenses to optimize cost-effectiveness.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and driving strategic business initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field and 2 years' experience in general contractor, commercial construction or related field OR 6 years' experience in operations, Real Estate, Construction, or related field.
- 2 years' of supervisory experience.
