Senior Manager, Commercial Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Lead proposal execution for Gas Turbine / Combined Cycle and Hydrogen Generation & Storage opportunities, ensuring on-time, compliant, and competitive submissions
  • Serve as primary commercial liaison to Owners and EPC customers for assigned proposals
  • Develop and execute winning bid strategies in collaboration with Sales and Engineering
  • Lead contract negotiations for equipment supply contracts for assigned opportunities, escalating key commercial risks as required
  • Manage commercial scope development, contract formation, risk identification, and internal approvals
  • Manage a commercial team of 0–3 direct reports, providing coaching and technical guidance
  • Maintain proposal opportunity data, pricing history, and approvals within CRM systems
  • Support development and refinement of commercial tools, templates, and standard work
  • Monitor industry trends and contribute insights to improve future bid positioning

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field required
  • MBA preferred
  • 5–8 years of experience leading: End-to-end commercial proposals for energy or industrial projects, Contract negotiations within defined authority limits and experience coordinating with Engineering, Legal, Supply Chain, and Sales
  • Strong working knowledge of: equipment supply, EPC and LTSA contracts, pricing structures, cash flow, guarantees, and LDs
  • Ability to assess and articulate commercial risk
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written) required with the ability to negotiate in Spanish
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Strong stakeholder and customer-facing communication
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Proficiency managing CRM opportunity pipelines and reporting
  • Experience managing or mentoring 0–3 direct reports
  • Demonstrated sound commercial judgment
  • Results-driven with strong ownership mindset
