Senior Manager Clinical Informatics - Hybrid
About the role
The Sr. Manager, Regional Clinical Informatics is a key member of the Providence St. Joseph Health Clinical Informatics management team. They collaborate with Directors and Medical Informatics to implement, support, and optimize clinical informatics, Caring Reliably framework, IS strategy, and other organizational commitments. They partner with clinical and physician leaders to manage staff performance in informatics initiatives, focusing on IT and services to support nursing and interdisciplinary care partners in practice, applications, decision-making, research, quality improvement, education, and resource management.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Directors and Medical Informatics to implement, support, and optimize clinical informatics, Caring Reliably framework, IS strategy, and other organizational commitments.
- Partner with clinical and physician leaders to manage staff performance in informatics initiatives, focusing on IT and services to support nursing and interdisciplinary care partners in practice, applications, decision-making, research, quality improvement, education, and resource management.
- Represent the information and knowledge needs and requirements of healthcare professionals and patients to promote safe, effective, and efficient use of information technology in clinical settings.
- Work across functions with peers in other groups to ensure collaboration for shared goals and work with senior management and other peers on strategy development and execution planning.
- Perform all duties in a manner that promotes a multidisciplinary team concept.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Bachelor's/Master's: Informatics, BA, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or related healthcare field.
- 8 years Related experience.
- 6 years Leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree Nursing; or degree in process.
- Or Bachelor's/Master's: Informatics, BA, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or related healthcare field.
- Upon hire: Certification in Informatics.
- Upon hire: Epic Certification in one or more applications.
- Upon hire: Informatics certifications or credentialing (may be equivalent for up to 2 years of experience for this position at the hiring manager’s discretion).
