Senior Manager, Category Management - Entertainment & Office

About the role

The Senior Manager, Category Management - Entertainment & Office is responsible for executing the end-to-end digital merchandising strategy for assigned categories. This role drives omnichannel performance by optimizing online assortment, availability, content, and member experience—ensuring digital execution reflects operational realities while delivering convenience, quality, and value to members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing category management team, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Drive category strategy by analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to optimize assortment and product mix.
• Manage category financials, including budget oversight, margin improvement, and achievement of sales targets.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure optimal distribution and pricing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams to enhance customer experience.
• Monitor category performance metrics and implement continuous improvements to drive growth and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in category management with strong analytical skills to drive data-informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Experience managing complex category assortments, product sourcing, and inventory optimization across multiple channels.
• Strong negotiation skills to establish strategic partnerships and secure favorable terms with suppliers and distributors.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with organizational goals and financial targets.
• Proficiency in monitoring category performance metrics and implementing continuous improvements to enhance results.
• Effective collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, retail or related field and 4 years’ experience in business, retail or related field OR 6 years of experience in business, retail or related field.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
