Senior Manager, Business Finance
About the role
LegalZoom is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Finance to partner closely with our Partnerships and Product organizations. This is a highly strategic and high-impact role responsible for shaping how we invest, prioritize, and scale key initiatives across the business.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary finance partner to Partnerships and Product leadership, influencing strategy, investment decisions, and prioritization
- Build and maintain robust financial models to size initiatives, evaluate trade-offs, and support new business opportunities
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes for your areas, driving accuracy, transparency, and accountability
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities, and translate insights into clear recommendations that drive action
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by balancing data-driven analysis with strong business judgment
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, tools, and reporting to increase scalability and impact
- Partner cross-functionally across Finance, Product, Partnerships, and Operations to ensure alignment and execution
- Manage and develop team members, providing coaching, mentorship, and growth opportunities
- Champion the adoption of AI and advanced analytics within finance workflows to improve efficiency and decision quality
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, or Consulting, with increasing levels of responsibility
- Proven experience partnering with senior business leaders and influencing strategic decisions
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Exceptional ownership and accountability—you operate with urgency and follow through on commitments
- High degree of initiative and a proactive mindset; you don’t wait for direction to add value
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect financial outcomes to broader company strategy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and build trust
- Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous environments
- Track record of managing and developing talent
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for leveraging AI to improve workflows and decision-making
Qualifications
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with data visualization tools and financial systems is a plus
Benefits
The salary range for this role is $131,600 - $210,600. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs.
In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $131,600 - $210,600. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs.
Schedule
This hybrid position will work remotely as well as onsite in our Austin, TX, Sherman Oaks, CA or Mountain View, CA office.
