Responsibilities

  • Leadership & People Management
    • Lead and develop teams of bioanalytical scientists focused on LC-MS in support of preclinical and clinical studies.
    • Provide performance management, coaching, career development, and succession planning for direct reports.
    • Establish training plans and ensure team readiness for current and future business needs.
    • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives for scientific staff.
    • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive team culture.
  • Scientific & Technical Leadership
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in LC-MS/MS bioanalysis.
    • Support internal teams and clients through scientific consultation and problem-solving.
    • Stay current with emerging bioanalytical technologies, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
    • Partner with commercial and project teams on study strategy, feasibility assessments, and client interactions.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure laboratory activities are appropriately resourced, scheduled, and executed to meet client timelines.
    • Monitor departmental metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Support forecasting, project costing, and revenue recognition activities.
    • Ensure compliance with GLP, GCP, SOPs, quality standards, and safety requirements.
    • Lead corrective and preventive actions as needed to address operational or client concerns.
  • Client Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
    • Participate in sponsor meetings, scientific discussions, and business development activities.
    • Represent the organization at scientific conferences and industry events.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
    • 5+ years of experience in regulated LC-MS bioanalysis.
    • 5+ years of demonstrated success leading scientific teams in a regulated laboratory environment.
    • 3+ years of experience working in a GLP, GCP, and bioanalytical regulatory requirements role.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
    • 6+ years of experience managing people leaders in larger scientific organizations.
    • 6+ years of experience driving operational improvements, business metrics, and laboratory productivity initiatives.
    • Documented scientific publications, conference presentations, or recognized technical expertise in bioanalysis.

Skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • GLP/GCP and bioanalytical regulatory requirements experience.

Pay

$130,000 – $150,000 annually. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan, based on corporate and/or business segment performance and individual performance modifiers.

Schedule

Monday through Friday.
