About the role
Venture Global is seeking a Senior Manager, Benefits to collaborate with senior leadership to lead the development and implementation of a Global Benefits Strategy supporting continued efforts to attract and retain best-in-class talent. The Senior Manager, Benefits will report directly to the Director, Total Rewards and will be responsible for administration, compliance, and oversight of benefits administration while directing service delivery by the benefits team.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership through effective coaching, mentoring and performance managing of a global Benefits team.
- Vendor Management by overseeing the performance of third-party administrators.
- Financial Stewardship in monitoring and reviewing benefits billing, department budget, forecasting future costs and analyzing claims data.
- Program Design & Strategy by evaluating the competitiveness of current benefits and wellness programs and making recommendations for improvements.
- Manage Venture Global LNG’s full-insured and self-funded health insurance plans including reporting relevant KPIs, forecasting and making recommendations to plan changes.
- Lead the company’s annual open enrollment process.
- Audit & Risk Management serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors on benefits process and accounting matters. Address audit findings and implement corrective measures.
- Continuous Improvement by leading initiatives to enhance automation, standardization and efficiency across benefits and accounting workflows. Support system and integration enhancements.
- Process Design & Standardization by designing, documenting and implementing end-to-end benefits processes, including policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
- Cross-Functional Partnership working closely with Payroll, HR, Finance, Risk and Legal to align operational processes with accounting and regulatory requirements. Support planning, forecasting and budget activities related to labor and benefits costs.
- Compliance & Governance ensuring all plans strictly comply with federal, state and local regulatory requirements. Manage government reporting (e.g., Form 5500, ACA reporting and plan audits).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or other related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years benefits and leave administration experience with at least 3 years of experience in a management role.
- Workday experience is preferred.
- Global benefits experience preferred.
- Deep knowledge of benefits best practices, trends, and regulations.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and prioritize competing demands.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
