About the role

As a Senior Manager – BCG Vantage on our Topic Activation path within BCG's Insurance Practice Area, you will deliver against the client and commercial priorities for the non-life insurance sector business. You will grow and deploy a team of sector/topic experts to support case work, content development, and business build initiatives. You will drive the IP/content agenda, with support from the team, and lead execution of IP projects. You will be responsible for the team’s performance.

Additionally, as a Senior Manager – BCG Vantage, you will engage with case teams and clients based on your individual expertise and demonstrate differentiated impact and value-add to BCG clients and case teams.

We globally serve all insurance industry sectors, including life insurance, property & casualty insurance, commercial & reinsurance, as well as health insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead problem solving and solutioning for clients, driving toward pragmatic solutions tailored to the business context.
  • Lead development and commercialization of knowledge and assets (e.g., tools, sector/topic materials) in US P&C, commercial insurance, and reinsurance.
  • Engage and communicate with senior stakeholders, demonstrating expert presence and credibility.
  • Lead projects in a highly effective manner, mobilizing teams to deliver on business priorities and commercial impact.
  • Act as a highly effective coach and mentor, guiding team members to achieve goals efficiently and effectively.
  • Work in an ever-changing and complex environment, comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years consulting experience in P&C, commercial insurance, or reinsurance required; candidates with consulting experience preferred.
  • In lieu of consulting experience, 7+ years minimum industry experience required; 10-12+ years of industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred).
  • Deep expertise and experience in P&C, commercial insurance, or reinsurance.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI technologies and their practical applications, or a strong willingness to develop expertise in this area.

  • Research (Practice Topic and Sector-Aligned Research and Insights): Delivers actionable research and insights tailored to client project needs; works with qualitative and quantitative data, conducts research, and provides synthesized results from sources including commercial data, public and open source, company and industry research, macro-economic, commodities, and trade data.

Pay

In the US, total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market-leading benefits package. The base salary range for this role begins at $152,300.00 in our lowest cost US region and goes up to $156,700.00 in our highest cost US region. This is an estimated range; specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness. In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 25% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
