About the role

The Senior Manager / Associate Director, Cost Accounting will lead cost accounting initiatives, manage financial reporting processes, and provide strategic insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and methodologies to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee financial reporting processes, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and resolve audit findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, financial management, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting processes and deliver accurate results.
  • Experience leading and managing teams, including supervising staff and providing performance feedback.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data to inform business strategy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with industry-specific accounting standards.

Qualifications

  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.

Pay

$150,000 - $200,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
