Senior Manager, AI Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers in building GenAI-powered products, GenAI product components, and GenAI prototypes.
• Audit and integrate GenAI into existing products and systems to enhance efficiency, personalize consumer experiences, and create new offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy enterprise-hardened GenAI end-user tools.
• Clarify business/customer problems and capture opportunities for custom AI build-out and third-party AI tool adoption.
• Manage resources and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Stay updated with the latest GenAI developments and drive innovation within the organization.
• Ensure ethical use of AI and adherence to best practices and guidelines.
• Facilitate internal communication and collaboration mechanisms for GenAI initiatives.
• Organize internal and external GenAI-focused events and discussions.
• Lead by example in adopting innovative practices in corporate communication.
• Inspire and motivate the team to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

• Strong project leadership and ability to manage multiple complex and ambiguous priorities across many teams and stakeholders.
• Hands-on engineering experience with production-ready GenAI & ML applications, including experience leading an engineering team.
• Expertise in industry trends and various LLMs, including development tools and frameworks.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Passionate engineering leader with experience building high-performance teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
• Experience in strategic planning and execution with strong decision-making skills.
• Experience in stakeholder management to effectively communicate and manage expectations.
• Experience in handling compliance and regulatory requirements to ensure engineering practices adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
