Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit and Onboard Champion: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and external sourcing vendors to attract top-tier engineering talent. Refine onboarding methodologies to ensure uniform integration of engineers across multiple teams.
- Team Management and Performance Enhancement: Manage 2/3 diverse engineering teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and individual aspirations. Mentor an Engineering Talent Manager and foster their growth.
- Innovate Team Structures: Align roles and projects with individual talents and aspirations to drive cross-functional collaboration and foster innovative solutions.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize analytics to connect talent metrics with broader business objectives, driving informed decision-making.
- Technical Oversight & Strategy: Champion an AI-first engineering culture, ensuring teams leverage Claude and other AI development tools for maximum throughput and quality.
- Drive Delivery: Partner closely with Product Owners to prioritize features, cut scope where needed, and maintain on-time delivery commitments. Lead critical client implementations and new feature builds as the company scales.
- Cultural Advocacy & Alignment: Establish and refine culture expectations from engineering teams, introducing innovative practices that challenge norms.
- Information Management and Dissemination: Facilitate the creation and management of data and information repositories, promoting proactive knowledge sharing among team members.
- Continuous Improvement: Adopt innovative methods to address and mitigate organizational risks linked to skill and technical gaps.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in specialty pharmacy, medical insurance, reimbursement hub, physician’s office, healthcare setting, or insurance background preferred.
- Five to seven years as a Manager with a team size of six or more.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development, preferably with Claude.
- Detailed oriented and highly organized.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Knowledge of pharmacy benefits, medical benefits, and global understanding of commercial and government payers.
- Ability and initiative to work independently or as a team member.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Customer satisfaction focus.
