About the role
The Senior Maintenance Technician supports the Property Manager and ensures high-quality service to residents. Responsibilities include move-in/move-out inspections, supervising maintenance staff, responding to resident requests, and maintaining grounds.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and make ready apartments
- Assist with inspections and maintenance logs
- Supervise maintenance staff and vendors
- Respond to resident requests
- Maintain grounds and amenities
- On-call for after-hours emergencies
- Report maintenance concerns
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks
- Comply with fair housing laws
- Attend training programs
- Deliver superior customer service
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- EPA 608 - Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate
- Ability to read and understand documents
- Computing abilities
- Problem-solving skills
- Mathematical abilities
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school
- 5+ years of related experience
Skills
- Knowledge of maintenance functions
- Hands-on ability to maintain building systems
- Basic carpentry and painting skills
- Knowledge of state, local, and federal fair housing laws
- Ability to follow safety procedures
