About the role
FMC Ice Sports is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This position is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, and efficiency of all equipment and areas within their scope. The successful candidate will supervise maintenance technicians and coordinate efforts to ensure all personnel are performing tasks safely, effectively, and correctly.
Responsibilities
- Performs and oversees all daily maintenance activities assigned to maintenance technicians.
- Reprioritizes and refocuses maintenance team activities as necessary with or without authorization from the VP of Maintenance and Operations.
- Supervises all activities of assigned maintenance technicians and ensures production needs are being met during shifts.
- Maintains the use and inventories of all spare parts and supplies needed for maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Ensures all parts are reordered to maintain inventories.
- Performs, assigns, and verifies completion of all assigned equipment's PM assignments.
- Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians and arena operations staff to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
- Updates and maintains all service reports, event logs, operating, service, and training manuals required by the maintenance department.
- Ensures all assigned maintenance technicians are adhering to all policies regarding personal safety and operating procedures.
- Reviews the operation of all equipment and conditions constantly to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate problems, plan future repairs, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Carries out projects and completes work orders in all FMC facilities ensuring all assigned work orders are carried out and all paperwork is completed and filled out correctly.
- Maintains a safe, healthy, and comfortable work environment for all maintenance personnel.
- Adheres to all guidelines, mandates, and parameters set by supervisors regarding overtime utilization, parts purchasing procedures, PM frequency, and shift scheduling.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- At least 3 years of experience in a facilities maintenance position, including all aspects of carpentry, HVAC, painting, plumbing, and minor electrical work.
- Prior work experience operating lift equipment and moving heavy equipment is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Available to be contacted by maintenance personnel and reasonably available to report to work in cases of emergency.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Consent to a CORI/SORI and background check.

Pay
$30 - $40 per hour
Schedule
Work schedule may include a condensed work week and on-call rotation. Travel to all 26 locations required. Company vehicle provided.
