Duties/Responsibilities
- Serve as the informal leader for the assigned area, providing expert guidance to ensure efficient machine troubleshooting and repair.
- Provide on-call leadership support and escalation management to maintain safe and efficient operations.
- Lead and oversee defect tag management, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
- Attend daily TMS meetings and communicate relevant updates and actions.
- Cook up and coordinate all maintenance activities within the process area, working closely with the core team to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and hands-on training to maintenance technicians to support skill development, performance, and technical readiness.
- Ensure coverage and assume responsibilities when team members are absent to maintain seamless operations.
- Actively participate in and lead cross-functional teams focused on scheduling, process improvement, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Uphold and model adherence to company Golden Rules, including: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), 5S workplace organization, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives intended to enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve technician capability.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the business and ensure operational continuity
Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED (required)
- Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training in a mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance field (preferred)
- 2 years mechanical technical experience (Required.)
- 5 or more years of progressively complex maintenance experience, including demonstrated peer leadership (Preferred).
