Senior Maintenance Techincian Plumber III
Job Description
Installs, maintains, and repairs domestic water pumps, water piping lines, water filters, and plumbing fixtures.
Repairs and maintains steam stations, valves, heating and condensate return stations, and sewer and storm drains.
Maintains the piping and supply of cylinder and bulk medical gas systems.
Aids in the operation and general maintenance of painting, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems.
Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs plumbing, mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and piping as scheduled or needed.
Provides on-the-job skills training.
May be required to respond to emergency calls and take call in accordance with facility requirements.
Monitors work performed by outside contractors to ensure requirements are met and results are documented properly.
Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on a daily basis in a timely manner.
Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with HealthCare Regulations, Federal, State, and Local regulations and standards.
Supports and contributes to the development of new processes, products, or services.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to assist trade personnel and contractors as necessary to coordinate repairs to plumbing
- Ability to perform plumber equipment maintenance, installations and modifications per all applicable codes and regulations
- Ability to assist in contributing to system training manuals and upgrades as changes occur
- Ability to read, write and speak conversational English
- Ability to document records neatly and accurately
- Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies
- Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner
- Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form
- Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes
- Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment
Education
- High School Grad or Equiv
- N/A
Work Experience
- 2+ commercial plumbing experience
- 2+ health care experience
- 5+ general plumb experience
