About the Role

The Senior Maintenance Specialist is responsible for all machine maintenance as needed, including preventative maintenance, repair of production equipment, utilities, and facilities. This role involves mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair. A strong manufacturing background with demonstrated mechanical aptitude and process troubleshooting skills is required; electrical skills are desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment.
• Performs tool changes and machine setups on production and packaging equipment.
• Performs maintenance, set-up, and preventative maintenance (PM) on automation/production equipment.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment-related processing issues.
• Utilizes a computer-based inventory system for generating reports and locating spare parts.
• Performs Maintenance Connection day-to-day duties.
• Assists maintenance/production staff as needed and may assist in training other employees.
• Performs quality work within reasonable time standards set by management.
• Utilizes mandatory safety equipment and executes duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Adheres to all safety rules and regulations.
• Is flexible with schedule as needed.
• Ensures area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean, and tidy.
• Follows all company-established rules and policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred Associate’s degree.
• Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively.
• 3-5 years of technician experience in industrial maintenance; plastics industry experience preferred.

Qualifications

Ideal candidate must have a strong mix of the following technical experience and skills:

• Mechanical and electrical maintenance
• VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
• Servo motors
• PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)

Pay

$30.68–$39.88 per hour, paid weekly.

Schedule

7:00 AM–7:00 PM on a 2-2-3 schedule.
