Summary Of Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot programming and electrical issues.
- Coordinate and monitor the electrical work of external contractors.
- Maintain spares inventory with a focus on the plant electrical distribution system components.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Create, read, and analyze charts, work orders, blueprints, electrical drawings, and diagrams.
- Recommend and perform predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance.
- Supervise a crew of hourly maintenance employees.
- Communicate with upstream and downstream operations and non-Cleveland-Cliffs, Inc. contractors.
- Enforce safety regulations, conduct daily safety communications, monitor safety activities, and conduct safety inspections.
Minimum Qualifications
- Three (3) years’ experience as an electrical maintenance supervisor in a heavy industrial environment.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/electrical engineering technology or five (5) years electrical maintenance supervisory experience with a High school diploma/GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) years’ experience as an electrical maintenance supervisor in a heavy industrial environment, preferably in a high-voltage electrical distribution system environment.
- Knowledge of industrial power equipment – transformers, switchgear – up to 13.8kv DC&AC drives, including variable speed AC drives.
- Experience with scheduling, coordinating, and executing standardized preventive maintenance practices on high-voltage electrical distribution systems and tracking same with detailed reports and record-keeping discipline.
- Experience with managing electrical upgrade projects.
