Senior Machining Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and production support for gas turbine systems in aerospace and industrial applications.
• Develop and optimize CNC machining processes, create new fixtures and tools, and troubleshoot existing processes.
• Lead project teams, apply Lean methodologies, and collaborate with the Chromalloy Engineering team on new parts, repairs, and technology implementation.
• Utilize project management skills to drive successful outcomes within technical, budgetary, and schedule requirements.
• Engage with the Chromalloy Engineering team to develop new parts, repairs, and cutting-edge technologies.
• Implement innovative methods that positively impact business metrics.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 5+ years of experience as an Engineer in the Aerospace or Industrial gas turbine engine mechanical design discipline
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3D CAD Modeling and CAM Programming (Siemens NX Preferred)
• Experience with Multi-Axis Milling and Grinding (Okuma experience preferred.)
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement, Lean tools & methodologies, and strong project management skills
• Ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment and a track record of delivering results
• Knowledge of FAA Guidelines for PMA and RS-DER Requirements is a plus
