About the role
As a Senior M365 Systems Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will enhance how agencies collaborate, operate, and innovate. You will play a crucial role in modernizing, securing, and automating the Microsoft 365 collaboration ecosystem.
- Lead enterprise modernization of SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Power Platform solutions, directly advancing mission readiness and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Cyber Security, Cloud Infrastructure, Enterprise Networks, Legal/Compliance, and Microsoft Teams to ensure secure, reliable, and governed collaboration across the organization.
- Drive automation, compliance alignment, and innovative solution engineering to reduce operational burden, strengthen security posture, and streamline business processes.
- Utilize expertise in SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Power Apps/Power Automate, PnP PowerShell, and Microsoft Graph to build scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma required OR Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience engineering Microsoft 365 systems
- Experience: 9+ years of experience engineering Microsoft 365 systems with a High School diploma
- US Person
- May require on-call rotation; hybrid work location out of Falls Church, VA office
Skills
- SharePoint Online architecture and governance
- OneDrive for Business
- Power Apps and Power Automate development
- PnP PowerShell scripting for administration of M365 services
- Microsoft Graph API and automation
- Experience supporting compliance frameworks (CMMC, NIST 800‑171, DFARS, CIS)
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience with or exposure to Microsoft Copilot and AI-assisted workflows (a plus)

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $132,250. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.
