About the role
The Senior Logistics Consultant will support Navy communication systems onsite in San Diego, CA, focusing on Integrated Logistics Support activities associated with a major defense acquisition program.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, or update Life-Cycle Logistics Support Requirements: LCSP, ULSS, LCCE, LRFS, ILA checklists, and other milestone-required documentation.
- Develop, review, or update program Business Case Analysis (BCA), SOW, CDRL.
- Maintain logistics instructions, directives, and policies and support all logistics data calls.
- Support Acquisition Milestone events such as FCA, PCA, CDR, Provisioning Conference, etc. by reviewing system artifacts and providing ILS risks, issues, and recommendations to APM.
- Support installation of equipment on Navy vessels by providing RMMCO Check-in and Check-out ILS documentation.
- Support Staff meetings, Technical Review Boards, CCB, program engineering meetings, IPT, working groups, training events, Fleet Support Teams (FST), program reviews, SETR, SRRs as required.
- Maintain the MBPS and/or its predecessors CDMD-OA and TDMIS database for all systems' configurations for program of record and project systems.
- Coordinate with Echelon III to provide logistics related information to ILS products including ILS TM development, QRG, Preventative Maintenance.
- Develop, submit, and revise nomenclature requests/packages utilizing JETDAS.
- Provide input/review program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to reflect logistics related milestones.
- Develop required logistics input for briefs and other logistics documentation necessary to fully support program of record and project systems.
Requirements
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret Clearance.
- 7 years of specialized logistics experience with the Navy or comparable Department of Defense agencies.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in direct logistics support to an Acquisition program office (PEO/PMW) or similar organization.
- Physical Requirements: Regularly sit for extended periods of time and work at a computer workstation; use hands and fingers to operate keyboards, mice, and other input devices; communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust; stand, walk, bend, or reach; access equipment located in data centers, offices, or under desks; lift and/or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
